The HyperOx System
The HyperOx system is the result of 4 years R&D by our Australian and International Water Engineers team with a great deal of money and time invested in this exciting new technology.
The new patented HyperOx Hydroxyl Free Radical Generators are designed to produce powerful, very reactive °OH radicals which are capable of attacking most organic compounds. Due to their high oxidation potential, °OH radicals are extremely oxidizing in nature. They destroy organic contaminants via four fundamental mechanisms:
- °OH radical addition
- Hydrogen abstraction
- Electron transfer
- °OH radical combination

This exciting new leading-edge technology allows efficient, cost-effective treatment for a wide range of process, industrial, swimming pool and waste waters.
The heart of the HyperOx system is the Electrolysis Cells which consist of patented SCBD electrodes in a thermomoulded PVC casing. When DC power is supplied to the electrodes, °OH radicals are generated, which attack most organic compounds by a combination of direct and indirect oxidation, transforming them into carbon dioxide and water. Hence, the organics and nitrogenous compounds are efficiently removed through the electrochemical oxidation process.
Typically, the treatment water flows into a tank, where the water is recirculated through the HyperOx Cells, with the °OH radicals removing a wide range of organic compounds, including long chain and short chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS), alcohols, total organic carbon(TOC), aldehydes, total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), aromatics, total nitrogen, heavy metal ions, amines, active pharmaceutical intermediates, chemical oxygen demand (COD), BTEX, phenols, pesticides, coloration, dioxins, PCBs, synthetic dyes and micropollutants, effectively cleaning the water.
Water Engineers (Australia) and our UAE Water Engineers group are pioneering this exciting new patented technology for water treatment in a wide range of applications.
